The Mochi Market began with a single squishy and a growing curiosity back in 2016. What started as a simple hobby quickly turned into a carefully built collection of soft, satisfying, and hard-to-find squishies. Over the years, I discovered that each one had its own unique texture, personality, and charm—and collecting became a genuine passion.

As someone who is neurodivergent, squishies became more than just collectibles. They became an important part of my everyday sensory toolkit, offering comfort, focus, and a calming way to fidget during busy or overwhelming moments. That personal experience inspired me to share the joy and benefits of sensory play with others.

The name The Mochi Market was chosen because the best squishies remind me of mochi—soft, comforting, and impossible to resist. I wanted to create a welcoming "market" where people can browse, discover premium sought-after squishies, and find pieces that bring them happiness, whether they're collectors, gift shoppers, or simply looking for the perfect sensory companion.
